Kiwi fashion brand Karen Walker has experienced an influx of online orders after the Duchess of Sussex wore a pair of her sunglasses and earrings.
Meghan Markle wore the brand's black Northern Lights sunglasses and a pair 9ct gold stud earrings on two separate royal engagements during her official visit to Australia with her husband, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry.
Following the engagement to Fraser Island in Australia on Monday when Markle wore the sunglasses, Karen Walker sales for the sunglasses, which retail for $329, have spiked.
In the 19 hours since the spotting, the Karen Walker website sold more than seven times the number of units it sold the month previously - most orders came from overseas.
Total website traffic was almost double the amount on the previous Monday.
On another official outing to Bondi beach just days earlier the Duchess wore Karen Walker's temptation earrings priced at $399.
A spokesperson for Karen Walker said the brand's retail partners such as department store Neiman Marcus had instantly sold out of the products.
Karen Walker, the namesake designer, said she was delighted the Duchess had chosen to wear the brand on her first official overseas trip with Prince Harry.
"I'm always excited to see our designs being worn, no matter what the item or who it's being worn by," Walker said.
"Meghan always looks terrific and has a great sense of style."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on their official 16-day international tour visiting Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.
The pair will arrive in New Zealand on Sunday.
Designer Karen Walker met the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, in Buckingham Palace in February during the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange, where she represented New Zealand.
This is the first time a member of the royal family has worn the brand.
