Local clothing retailer Max Fashions is listed for sale, according to news out of Australia.
The Australian Business Review reports that private equity company Catalyst, which acquired Max from Direct Capital in 2009, has hired a local advisory firm to offload the retailer.
Catalyst previously owned EziBuy. Max Fashions was expected to add $60 million in sales to EziBuy's $190m annual turnover, the publication reports.
EziBuy was sold to Woolworths in 2013 for $350m.

Max Fashions executive director Simon West told the Herald the retailer was aware of speculation surrounding it being put on the market.
"Max has a number of different shareholders, and we're not in a position to speculate on their intentions," West said.
Catalyst has been approached for comment.
Max Fashions was founded by David Wright in 1986, opening its first store in Auckland. It now has 40 stores nationwide.
