Auckland container volumes blip

Ports of Auckland said yesterday that container volumes were up 4 per cent on the year before for the 12 months ended in February.

But container volumes for the month of February fell 3 per cent compared with the same time last year.

The company said the reduced trade was mainly due to the loss of a trade to a competing port.
