A Tauranga teenager was taken to hospital after being hit by a car this morning.
The 16-year-old is in a moderate condition in Tauranga Hospital.
Police were called to the incident on Otumoetai Rd about 12.30am.
The girl was allegedly hit by the car, which then drove off leaving her on the side of the road.
Police say they are looking for a white people mover vehicle.
