Two men have been arrested in relation to the theft of a classic motorbike from a Tauranga community event.
The 1973 Norton Commando motorcycle was stolen from the Greerton Cherry Blossom Festival on September 30. The bike's owner told the Bay of Plenty Times the loss was like losing a loved one.
The bike has since been recovered by Police and returned to its owner.
A 43-year-old man was arrested last week for stealing the bike and charged with theft. He is due to reappear in the Tauranga District Court on October 20.
A 23-year-old man has now been charged with receiving the motorcycle and hiding it at the address where it was recovered by police. He is due to appear in the Tauranga District Court on October 16.
