The University of Waikato has a new academic director for Tauranga.
The university has appointed Associate Professor Ken Perszyk to the position of Academic Director - Tauranga CBD Campus Development. He takes up the position in July.
Dr Perszyk is currently an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington and for the past 11 years headed the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science & International Relations - the largest School at Victoria.
Waikato University Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Alister Jones said the appointment of an Academic Director was another important milestone for the Tauranga CBD campus development which the university is leading on behalf of the Bay of Plenty Tertiary Education Partnership. The new campus will open in central Tauranga by 2020.
