Bay of Plenty Times magazines editor Annemarie Quill has been named a finalist in the prestigious Canon Media Awards in the feature writing category for her coverage of health issues.
Quill's entry was a feature story she wrote about the perils of wine o'clock where she spoke to a number of professional women who were recovered alcoholics.
James Smith has also been named a finalist for Best Headline for his work on the Bay of Plenty Times and other NZME titles.
Winners will be announced on May 20.
