NZ Couriers plans to move its Tauranga branch from Judea to larger premises in Mount Maunganui.
The company has taken out a lease on the new building, starting in September. However, it would be discussing the timing of the move with its current landlord in Birch Ave, where the company has been based for about 18 years.
Branch manager Darin Keogh said: "We have now outgrown Birch Ave. We also have a smaller satellite depot at the Mount, and the idea will be to consolidate the entire fleet under the one roof.
"We have a great team, so it will be a real positive that we can work together out of one site."
NZ Couriers' new 3300sq m location at 34 Hull Rd is one of two buildings formerly leased by Tui Products, before the garden products company moved into purpose-built premises in Truman Lane.
Turners car and truck auctions leased one of Tui Products' former buildings last year, and NZ Couriers will now be taking over the adjoining building.
Mr Keogh said the planned move would future-proof the business and the jobs and contracts it provided in Tauranga.
"Whilst we explored various options, it became apparent that we would have to move from Judea as we could not find a site that met all of our requirements," he said.
NZ Couriers was taking out a 10 year lease on the new building, with options to renew, said Rob Schoeser, industrial leasing specialist with Colliers, which also handled the Turners Auctions lease.
