Miss Universe organisers are asking Tauranga residents to keep their eyes peeled for a stolen caravan.
The caravan, which had just had a complete retro fit-out and was due to be used in March and April on a nationwide road trip to publicise the competition, was stolen from Penrose in Auckland between midnight and 8am on Monday.
There were reports of a possible sighting of the caravan on the Kaimai Range heading towards Tauranga being towed by a "blackish" SUV about noon on Monday.
A $2500 no-questions-asked reward is on offer for any information that leads directly to the recovery of the caravan.
