A 10-year-old girl hit by a car has walked away with minor injuries.
The girl was cycling on Maungatapu Rd about 3.20pm yesterday when she veered into oncoming traffic.
Western Bay of Plenty head of road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the girl rode out in front of a car, which in turn struck her.
The girl received bumps and bruises and was treated by St John ambulance staff at the scene.
