The identity of a Mount Maunganui business manager who has denied fraud and forgery charges remains a secret.
The middle-aged woman, who has denied one count each of using a document for pecuniary use knowing it was forged, and wilfully attempting to obstruct the course of justice, was granted continued interim name suppression by Community Magistrate Sherida Cooper yesterday.
Police allege that between May 28 and July 20 the defendant altered a client hire agreement so her employer believed it was genuine, and then on August 21 knowing she was under investigation she altered a document to try and disguise her handwriting.
The accused is due back in court on December 2 for a case review hearing.
