International peace promoter and dance therapist Petra Klein will be one of the speakers at a peace march in Tauranga this month.
She is one of the pioneers of the dance therapy movement in Europe and lectures at the University of Hamburg in Germany and at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.
The international Nuclear Abolition Flame arrives Tauranga on September 28 as the city helps to start the World March for Peace and Non-Violence.
The flame was ignited from the master Hiroshima Flame in Hiroshima's Peace Park last month and is in the country for the official start of a 90-day event planned to circle the globe, calling for the end of war and nuclear weapons, and the elimination of violence.
New Zealand has been chosen as the starting point for the world peace march and there are a number of events planned around the country before the official start in Wellington on October 2.
The flame will be part of a march along The Strand at noon on September 28 followed by a rally in Red Square.
Ms Klein will be one of the speakers to address the crowd, along with Tauranga Mayor Stuart Crosby and Tauranga MP Simon Bridges.
