Jordan Bell has played one season and has one championship. And now he might hold the title for most confident NBA player, too.
The Warriors big man made a big block in the closing minutes of Friday night's summer league win over the Clippers. After the swat, cameras caught Bell looking toward the crowd with a call-me gesture β and at one couple in particular.
Utah's Donovan Mitchell, a star immediately in his first year last season, was sitting with his girlfriend, Deja Lighty, taking in the game. Bell apparently was talking with them, the implication being he was making a public move on Mitchell's girlfriend. Bold!
According to those involved, though, this isn't what exactly transpired β and they're not saying what actually went down.
"What [Bell] said was ten times funnier than what you guys think," Lighty said on Twitter.
"I don't see any other guy but Don don't play me."
Mitchell, who at the time looked dumbfounded, laughed along with the give-me-a-call clip, saying, "That's definitely not what happened."
And yet, he then hinted maybe that's exactly what happened.
They were having a good laugh about the whole storm after realising Bell's gesture had blown up on social media.
It's not hard to see why Bell would be feeling unstoppable right now, he's only just stopped celebrating the Warriors' NBA championship and his team has just signed superstar DeMarcus Cousins on a one-year deal which makes them all-but unbeatable heading into the 2018-19 season.
