Samoa's most established female vocalists will take the stage together in a one-off concert in Auckland this weekend.
Opeloge Ah Sam presents Samoan Jazz Divas, featuring Rosita Vai, Aggie Su'a Hewson, Sara Jane and Valerie Fasavalu at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre on Saturday night.
The show will include jazz standards, originals and Samoan songs given a jazz treatment and arrangement by music director Opeloge Ah Sam.
Rosita Vai won the second series of TV talent show NZ Idol and had the top selling single of 2005 with All I Ask, which also picked up a Tui Music Award.
Also appearing will be The Masque Jazz Quintet, Saia Folau and more.
The Masque Jazz Quintet is led by composer/pianist Opeloge Ah Sam and the quintet have performed for Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival of racing, Mission Bay JazzFest, FIFA Under-17 Women's Football World Cup and many more events in New Zealand and abroad.
