Manukau and Waitemata Harbours, Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville.

Situation:

A high lies over the country and will persist through to Monday. Northwesterlies strengthen across the country on Tuesday as a front approaches from the Tasman Sea. The front moves north across the South Island during Wednesday.

For Manukau and Waitemata Harbours: Sunday: Southerly 10 knots, turning southeast 10 knots in the morning, and easterly 10 knots in the afternoon. Sea slight, but choppy when wind opposes tide. Partly cloudy. For Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville: Sunday: Southwest 15 knots, turning southeast 15 knots but 20 knots about Colville Channel in the morning. Becoming northeast 15 knots everywhere in the evening. Sea becoming moderate about Colville Channel in the morning, easing evening. Partly cloudy. A few light showers, clearing afternoon.
