A low moves away to the east today and an associated trough moves north over the North Island, while a ridge develops over the South Island.Another low develops just northeast of the North Island during Wednesday, remains slow-moving on Thursday, then moves away to the northeast on Friday as the ridge spreads onto central New Zealand.
