The most iconic and celebrated course on the Formula One calendar, Monza, will this weekend host race fourteen on the 21-race championship programme, the Italian Grand Prix.
This 5.8 kilometre circuit is the spiritual home of Ferrari and it comes as no surprise to learn that the Italian giant has won here more than any other manufacturer, although not since 2010.
The weekend begins with Lewis Hamilton holding just a 17-point advantage over Sebastian Vettel with the chasers, Kimi Raikkonen and Valteri Bottas, well back in third and fourth places.
Ten years ago Vettel won at Monza and became the youngest driver, at just over 21 years, to win a Grand Prix and the signs are pointing towards him making it four in Italy on Sunday.
The 4-times world champion has momentum after he guided his Ferrari to victory in Belgium last week. That victory at Monza in 2008 was his first ever and since then he's put another 51 victories on the board both for Red Bull and Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton is the obvious danger to Vettel in this race and like the German, he's won 5 times this season in the Mercedes. 12 months ago he stood on the podium at Monza and declared that he had the fastest car but a year down the track all indications are that Ferrari has turned the tide.
