Prime Minister John Key has committed New Zealand to an urgent plan to save world trade talks by Christmas. His assurance comes as the global credit crisis increases fears that many countries will shut their borders to exporting nations, including New Zealand.
Leaders agreed to reach some agreement on continuing the "Doha Round" of negotiations - which has been stalled for seven years - by the end of next month.
