The New Zealand under-20 soccer team beat Australia 2-1 in the first leg World Cup qualifier at North Harbour Stadium last night.
Australia led the junior All Whites 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Kevo Gulesserian in the 21st minute, but the New Zealand team scored two goals in the final 15 minutes to take the match.
Jonathan Rowe scored in the 76th minute and Chris Killen netted the winner five minutes before fulltime.
The two sides play the second leg of the Oceania Qualification play-off in Australia on Sunday.
