Ice Cube made Chris Tucker a star in his 1995 hit urban comedy Friday.
This is the sequel which, again, surprised at an American box-office, which didn't seem to notice the Cube's gift for creating rowdy, true-to-life flakes.
Craig (played again by Cube, who also produced) moves from South Central LA to the suburbs, where he goes to live with his lottery-winning Uncle Elroy (Don "DC" Curry) and cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps).
There's not much of a plot — Craig is trying to escape the local bully, Debo (Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr), who also featured in Friday — and the fun tails off pretty quickly. But keep an eye on Ice Cube.
He's got quite a bit more talent, and audience, than the folks in the suits realised.
