The New Zealand-born actor is tipped to star in the latest Superman movie, according to rumours swooping about the internet.
Fan site estar.com reports the 36-year-old has already signed a $30 million deal with American film company Warner Bros to appear as the man of steel. It is understood he plans to take a year off work to prepare his body for the role.
Crowe, who recently appeared in Gladiator, is also rumoured to be considering roles in Basic Instinct 2 and A Beautiful Mind.
