Donald Trump's Twitter account was temporarily shut down today.
Trump, a frequent user of Twitter, posted daily under the username @realdonaldtrump.
For 11 minutes, Twitter said that page "no longer existed".
Twitter released a statement saying the account was temporarily down due to "human error by a Twitter employee".
"The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again," the company said.
Many users of the social network platform had previously called on Twitter to ban Trump for his multiple violations of the terms of service.
