Two sisters were left heartbroken when their mother lost her battle to cancer the day after their father suddenly died.
Simona and Sashka Dudova, from Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, lost their father Lubo on October 6 when he suffered an unexpected cardiac arrest. He was just 45.
The girls' pain was made all the worse the following day when their mother Adriana, also 45, passed away after a five year battle with pancreatic cancer, the MailOnline reported.
Friends say the grieving girls, aged 13 and 23, are now struggling to cover the financial costs of laying both parents to rest and have set up an online fund to help them.
Simona's husband, Steven Turner, wrote on the JustGiving page: "Lubo was a strong, kind and brave man that provided for the family and would have done anything for his wife and children. He was a gentleman, loved by a lot of people that crossed his path in life.
"Adriana was an amazing, caring and loving mother and wife. She always put the needs of her family above her own and created a loving home for them.
"Simona and Sashka are both very young and are now alone to deal with their passing.
"This is not only emotionally very difficult for them, but also a real financial struggle. As it is now, they will not be able to afford their parents burial and give then the goodbye they truly deserve."
He said the couple always helped others in their time of need and he hopes that others can now help their daughters.
As of this morning, more than $17,000 had been raised to pay for the funerals, which took place today. The crowdfunding page is available by clicking here.
