Aide: Facebook removed PM's 'napalm girl' protest

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) " An aide says Facebook removed Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg's post which included an iconic 1972 image of a naked girl running from a napalm attack in Vietnam.

The aide, Sigbjorn Aanes, says the post with the photo was removed Friday. Aanes told The AP that "Facebook cannot continue to censor world history."

The Pulitzer Prize-winning image by Associated Press photographer Nick Ut is at the center of a heated debate about freedom of speech in Norway after Facebook deleted it from a Norwegian author's page last month.

Many Norwegians have since posted the photo on Facebook in protest, and Solberg joined them on Friday.
