Colombia searches for missing divers at Pacific Ocean islet

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) " Rescuers are searching for two Colombian scuba divers who went missing near a Pacific island when a strong current pulled them off course.

Rear Adm. Pablo Guevara of the Colombian navy says three other divers including an Australian have already been rescued.

The uninhabited Malpelo islet is about 320 miles off Colombia's coast. It draws diving aficionados from around the world, many of whom come to swim with a colony of hammerhead sharks.

The missing divers disappeared last Wednesday, but authorities said Tuesday that they are experienced and it's still possible they survived. More than 120 rescuers are involved in the around-the-clock search.
