A storm over Phoenix, Arizona, provided a local television helicopter pilot with an amazing photograph.
Bruce Haffner posted two versions of the photograph of yesterday's "microburst" storm at @chopperguyhd on Twitter.
The photos were shared by thousands.
The thunderstorm dumped more than a 12.7mm of rain in some places around the Phoenix area.

The Weather Network reports that Arizona receives a statewide average of only 317.5mm of rain per year. July's average rainfall is 26.6mm. The monsoon season runs from June 15 to September 30, with the the storms peaking between mid-July and mid-August.
