Thai Police are attempting to identify a foreign man whose body was found on a New Zealand-registered yacht anchored off Phuket's Nai Harn Beach.

The Phuket News reports the yacht is the the Waitane II.

It's believed the man died about 10 days before his body was discovered by a local hotel worker.

Police say there are no signs of assault or struggle.

They've found an ANZ issued bank card but say there is no photographic ID of the man.
