It doesn't always take a 007 to find the blueprints for top secret Russian nukes. Sometimes all it takes is a little stupidity.
A cameraman for a state broadcaster filmed over the shoulder of an official, capturing a general studying data for a top secret nuclear weapon.
The title of the data is "Oceanic Multipurpose System 'Status-6".
The introduction reads that Status-6 is designed to "destroy important economic installations of the enemy in coastal areas and cause guaranteed devastating damage to the country's territory by creating wide areas of radioactive contamination, rendering them unusable for military, economic or other activity for a long time".
If genuine, the torpedo style nuclear weapon would be virtually undetectable and would travel at high speeds in ocean depths far beyond any submarine capabilities.
The images have since been censored and removed, but not before being captured and posted online.
Vladimir Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, stated "It's true some secret data got into the shot, therefore it was subsequently deleted. In future we will undoubtedly take preventive measures so this does not happen again."
