Windsor House, at 58-60 Queen St, has been sold to a Taupo investor for $2,350,000.
The 3172 sq m building, once home to one of central Auckland's first cinemas, comprises seven levels of office space with ground-floor retail.
Former owner AMP decided to sell the building when redevelopment of the Imperial site fell through.
"The prime location and retail tenancies attracted the new owner and the price fairly reflects the additional capital expenditure required to refurbish the building," said agent John Binning, of Jones Lang LaSalle.
Palms deal done
The Palms shopping centre in Christchurch was sold last week to Tim Glasson's Sabina Ltd, but it is business as usual, according to centre management.
Evan Harris, from HG Livingstone Ltd, said: "Mr Glasson's extensive retail and marketing experience will add further value for tenants of The Palms and their customers."
Previous owners Glen and Max Percasky, of Woodvale Ltd, will maintain their presence at the centre as consultants.
Return to north
After three years as general manager in Wellington, Charles Cooper has rejoined Colliers Jardine's Auckland office as a director.
He will oversee the industrial team, account management and broker training programmes, and business development.
Mr Cooper led the company's merger with Harcourts Commercial in Wellington.
