Organisers are unsure whether Auckland Art Festival's Power Plant event will be cancelled tonight and will be making the decision this afternoon.
The outdoor event at Auckland's Domain went ahead last night despite downpours in the city, a decision some on the event's social media page were not happy about.
Several ticket holders questioned if the event should have been cancelled considering Auckland's severe weather, but the option to switch tickets for another night quelled most disappointment online.
Festival spokeswoman Siobhan Waterhouse said the decision about whether or not to go ahead with the event would be made about 4pm.
Meanwhile the Pop-up Globe's performance of Much Ado About Nothing was scheduled to go ahead no matter the weather.
Last night's performance also went ahead, however due to a Civil Defence warning to stay home, customers were given the option to swap their tickets for another night.
A Globe spokesperson said that arrangement had been an exception and there would be no option to swap tickets tonight.
"The shows will go ahead as normal today at Pop-up Globe as an all weather venue just as it did in Shakespeare's day."
