Vector's making progress getting power back on to the remaining Auckland homes left in the dark since the weekend's stormy weather.
There are now just a handful of power outages across the Auckland region, after two days of strong winds.
Power has been restored to all but 200 Auckland homes.
As many as 15 thousand properties lost electricity in heavy rain and strong winds over the weekend.
Vector crews have been working on repairs since, including replacing seven power poles on a single Mt Eden street.
There are now just four remaining small outages.
They are in Epsom, Orakei, St Heliers and Maraetai.
Vector still hopes to have power restored to all tonight.
Earlier, at 6.30pm, they reported that there were still 15 outages left to fix.
At that stage one of largest faults was in Papakura, where 256 properties were without electricity.
