The Warriors are on the verge of signing Cronulla Sharks back-rower Jayson Bukuya on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old, who played for Fiji at the 2008 World Cup and has been included in wider Queensland State of Origin squads, is in his last season with the Sharks and the Warriors appear to have beaten a handful of other clubs to his signature.

Bukuya is regarded as an aggressive and mobile back-rower in the mould of Kiwis forward and Sharks teammate Jeremy Smith.

"We are finalising it (the contract) as we speak," his agent Sam Ayoub said.
