The Manawatu Wanganui women's team finished a disappointing tenth at the 2017 Toro Interprovincial women's tournament at Sherwood Golf Club on Friday.
The team, including Wanganui Golf Club's Tara Raj, was beaten 3-2 in their final matchup with Hawkes Bay-Poverty Bay.
No1 player Brydie Hodge and No5 player Tania Hook picked up victories, but the others were beaten, including Raj losing to Tessa McDonald 4/3.
Auckland would go on to win their seventh title in nine years.
In the men's Toro Interprovincial at Mangawhai Golf Club, Manawatu-Wanganui finished with two 3-2 losses on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.
Castlecliff's Hayden Ring did not play in the Thursday game against Tasman, but then returned for the final round matchup with Auckland, losing his game 3/2 to Jang Hyun Lee.
North Harbour went on to win the title, besting Auckland in the final
