The Huntley School triathletes came back with a medal of every colour from the National Schools Triathlon Championships in Taupo last weekend.
Held March 27, the school's Under 13 boys won gold in the teams event, with Ben Orr completing the swimming, Nathaniel Leask the cycle and Angus Wallace the run.
Holly Marshall won silver in the Open Water Swim and the Aquathon event.
The Under 13 girls team also made the podium with bronze for swimmer Holly Marshall, cyclist Meg Thomas and runner Emma Osborne.
Headmaster Sam Edwards said the triathletes have had a great season, following up on their success at the Wanganui school championships.
This is the first year Huntley has offered triathlon as a school sport alongside cricket, tennis and softball.
"It is a popular option with kids," said triathlon coach Gareth Wood.
"Good working with Nicholls Swim Academy and having a 50m local pool. Marton is a great place to learn road biking, the kids have really worked hard."
At the Wanganui championships in team events, Osborne and Thomas were first in the Under 14 girls, while Izzy Williamson and Charlotte Gillespie were third.
The Under 14 mixed team was won by Marshall and Aiden Jones, while Wallace and Blain Quinn were second in the Under 14 boys.
