Huntley boys claimed first place in both the boy races at the 2014 Wanganui Intermediate Schools Cross Country Championships on Thursday.
Hosted by St George's School, there were 160 runners taking part from 12 intermediate-age schools.
Harry Godfrey won the Year 7 boys race, followed by Huntley school mates Sam Parry and Adam Lennox.
Not surprisingly, Huntley therefore took out both the teams events - three to count and six to count - followed by Wanganui Intermediate in both categories, with third going to Hunterville in three-to-count and St George in sixth.
In the Year 8 boys, Huntley's Jack Gay was the winner, while WIS's Lucas Thompson overtook schoolmate Connor Munro for second.
Huntley again won both the three and six-to-count from WIS, with Fordell coming third in three-to-count and St George in sixth.
WIS reversed the trend in the Year 7 girls, with Sara Stuart the individual winner, followed by Huntley's Emma Osborne and Waverley's Adelaide Roper.
Stuart's school also won both the three and six-to-count sections, with St Anne's and Fordell coming second and third in the three.
Kaitoke's Rebecca Baker won the Year 8 girls race, followed closely by Rangiwaea's Caitlin Alabaster.
