The Wanganui Watsons were a force to be reckoned with at the National Judo Championships in Christchurch at the weekend with New Zealand's top players all ready to fight.
Daniel Watson again proved he was the top junior by taking out the junior men's weight class (-90kg ) and he then went on to win the junior men's open weight class with some excellent clean throws.
He next fought in the senior men's weight class, just missing out on a bronze medal.
Younger brother Kasey Watson also performed well over the weekend, fighting in the senior boys' +55kg class where he claimed silver.
He then fought in the senior boys' open weight and was placed third.
Cousin Keightley Watson, also fighting in the +55kg senior boys' class, placed third.
