Power tools and gardening equipment have been targeted in a series of burglaries from sheds and garages in Springvale and Gonville.
Whanganui Police Senior Sergeant Shayne Wainhouse said the burglaries occurred over the weekend of March 16-18 and on Monday, March 19.
"We urge people to be vigilant around suspicious activity in those areas," Mr Wainhouse said.
"People can call Crimestoppers anonymously to report any concerns. Residents should make sure tools are locked away in garages and sheds."
During the weekend, power tools and lawn mowing equipment were stolen from properties in Cambridge St and Koromiko Rd.
On Monday night, a DeWalt drill, belt sander and weedeater were stolen from a garage in Harper St. Power tools were also taken from a Gonville Ave property. Three chainsaws - two Stihls and a Makita - were stolen from an Alma Rd garage.
