The Central Districts Hinds and their Whanganui allrounder Jessica Watkin have had a mixed bag so far in their final rounds of the women's national Twenty20 competition at the Lincoln University grounds.
On Thursday, the Hinds lost by six wickets to Wellington Blaze, being bowled out 59 inside of 13 overs, with opener Watkin top scoring with 18.
The Blaze got their in the 11th over, despite Watkin taking 2-19 in three overs with her spinners.
Hinds rebounded yesterday morning with a 21 run win over the Northern Spirit.
This time, they raised a defendable 141-5, with Watkin setting the tone after scoring 58 from 51 balls.
The Spirit were then bowled out for 120 in the 19th over, with Watkin taking 4-22 from her four overs.
Yesterday afternoon the Hinds lost by five wickets to the Canterbury Magicians.
Central Districts again batted first and scored 128-3, with Watkin making 18.
Canterbury reached 129-5 in the 18th over, with Watkin taking 2-19 from her two overs.
The Hinds will play the Auckland Hearts today, and then tomorrow they finish against the Otago Sparks.
