Whanganui's Rougetete store is having a week-long celebration to mark the Day of the Dead festival.
Owner Rougetete Bette, who usually opens her Ridgway St rockabilly and vintage-themed shop three days a week, will open all week from Monday, October 30.
"I'll be celebrating the Day of the Dead festival with lots of free treats," she said. "I've also been busy making broaches and jewellery sets for the occasion."
Rougetete's shop window is decked out in Day of the Dead decorations and is lit up at night, attracting lots of interest from passersby.
Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is celebrated in Latin America, particularly Mexico, and honours deceased loved ones.
