A touch of culture and a dash of creepiness are on offer at Whanganui Regional Museum's Halloween Fright Night on October 31.
The Fright Night House of Museum Horrors is popping up at 49 Taupo Quay next to the Whanganui City Bridge and everyone is welcome in their Halloween costumes, museum events co-ordinator Rachael Garland said.
"This year, due to the earthquake strengthening of the museum building, we are taking this to another spooky location," Ms Garland said.
"We'll have some creepy characters and rooms and tunnels to explore. It will be suitable for children of all ages but younger children will need parental supervision and we suggest that the younger ones come during the first hour we're open.
"It's for families to come through and get a bit of a fright. It's intended to be a bit spooky but not terrifying."
The event is at 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 31. Entry is by gold coin.
