The Friends of Whanganui's St Peter's Church in Gonville held their first fabric and craft fair over the weekend.
Organiser Kathleen Keith said the fair was very successful - so successful that another one will be held next year.
"We had a steady stream of people through all day."
Mrs Keith said the fair was a joint fundraiser for St Peter's Church and the Friends of St Peter's Church.
"It was quite a lot of work but it was worth it. We're very grateful to Neville Gorrie from The Grand and Pak'nSave for their support.
The fair was aimed at anyone with an interest in craft - sewing, embroidery, knitting, leatherwork and many others. There was also produce and food stalls selling food to the public.
Anyone with an interest in St Peter's Church is welcome to join the friends. You can do so by calling 345 7009.
Services are held at St Peter's every Wednesday at 1pm.
