What better way to spend St Patrick's Day evening than cruising the Whanganui River on a "Paddy" steamer?
The Waimarie crew are breaking out their shamrocks and leprechaun hats in readiness for Friday's celebration of the Irish saint's day.
The 5.50pm cruise will have a special party atmosphere with Irish-themed drinks and finger foods to celebrate the emerald isle's favourite saint.
St Patrick is believed to have introduced Christianity to Ireland around 450AD and March 17 is possibly the date of his death.
