Alan Taylor has missed out on the mayoralty to Hamish McDouall, but he and his three
Whanganui Beyond 2030 teammates have all made it on to the council.
"Whanganui has said, 'We like what these guys stand for,'" Mr Taylor said.
After two terms on the council, Jack Bullock has not been able to make it a hat-trick, falling short this time with 2147 votes.
He said it was a bit of a surprise, although he didn't actively campaign for this election as he had done previously.
Mr Bullock said the wastewater treatment plant saga, being charged with possession of cannabis, and his attendance at full council meetings were likely to have contributed to his poor showing.
