Marton Harvest Fair has passed for another year but several people are still basking in the glow of success in the fair's competitions.
In the scarecrow building contest Joanne Simpson took out the residential section with highly commended going to headless horseman.
In the business section, Make Marton Great Again won the top prize while highly commended was evil minions: bald tyres are despicable by Rangitikei Tyres.
Marton School won the school/community group section with Marton Childcare Centre highly commended.
The top beer brewers were Ron Barrow, who took out the lager section, followed by Peter Speedy and Andrew Shirley. The best ale went to Andrew Henshaw followed by Aaron Bennett and Peter Speedy.
Regan Barsdell had the top stout with Robert Aylward and Peter Speedy second and third.
The best specialty beer was won by Andrew Henshaw of Whanganui with his watermelon beer followed by Darren Kelly and Robert Aylward.
In the pumpkin growing contest, Aaron Akkerman took it out with his 624kg whopper, while his younger brother Levi won the under 200kg with a 158kg pumpkin.
Pat Simpson won the ugliest and smallest pumpkin, and the pumpkin pie winner was Kathie Robinson, with Bernadette McIlwaine runner-up and Gemma McDonald third.
