The Whanganui Literary Festival proper wrapped up yesterday afternoon following three days of sessions and functions with well-known writers.
The line-up included Wanganui-raised journalist and writer Tim Wilson, along with several leading authors including Charlotte Grimshaw and Paul Thomas, and sociologist and blogger of the year Jarrod Gilbert.
The weekend kicked off on Friday night with a grand opening and among the three days of speakers was a dinner with the stars event on Saturday night and a High Tea & Gumboots yesterday afternoon.
Gay Belton (left, pictured with author Sarah O'Neil) won best gumboot at that event.
The festival began with fringe events last weekend.
