More than 60 works make up this year's annual Wanganui Arts Society show, with members both old and new contributing work.
The exhibition is being held at Cooks Gallery, in Trafalgar Place, off Ridway St, until the end of September.
Judy Webby from the arts society said all members were encouraged to take part in the exhibition, and it was pleasing to see how many new artists had submitted work.
Mrs Webby said new artists had recently joined the society, including some who had moved to Wanganui from the South Island.
"When we get new members we encourage them to join one of our art groups and enjoy the company. Our groups are very popular, and members are always happy to help each other out."
Members range from school-age children to enthusiastic artists in their 90s.
Mrs Webby said this exhibition was the society's biggest one each year.
"We'd love to encourage anyone interested in joining the arts society to come along to the exhibition and see what we do.
"It's a nice bright exhibition, and there's a good variety of work."
Cooks Gallery is open Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm, Monday and Tuesday 10am-2pm, and possibly other days.
All the works are for sale.
