An appeal co-ordinator is urgently needed for the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal in Wanganui.
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation has put the call out for a volunteer area co-ordinator to help out with the annual appeal on October 9 and 10.
The area co-ordinator manages a small team of volunteers, overseeing Wanganui's six collection sites. The foundation will supply a detailed briefing, along with a roster of volunteer collectors, street permits and all the materials necessary to run a successful appeal.
National manager for the appeal Jaimi Bailey said the co-ordinator was also welcome to recruit volunteers from their own friends and colleagues.
"The area co-ordinator is so important - we can't run our appeal in Wanganui without one," she said.
"We'd be so grateful if someone could step up to help out this year."
Ideally, one person will take the area co-ordinator role for both days, but if necessary it can be split across the Friday and the Saturday. Anyone interested in volunteering should call Jaimi Bailey on 09 304 1220 or email jaimib@nzbcf.org.nz .
