All classes remain cancelled on Whanganui UCOL's Rutland Street campus today.
Chief executive Leeza Boyce said they are waiting on inspections to main campus A Block foundations to check for water and silt.
"A Block remains closed in the meantime for this reason. Blocks B and C have had some water inside and we will begin the clean-up when Civil Defence allow. We appreciate staff and student patience while we work through this."
The campus' main atrium area, E Block will be open for staff to work and students to undertake self-directed studies. The UCOL carpark is closed and access is only available from Rutland Street and there will be limited parking within close proximity of the campus.
People are asked to respect the cordon in place in the area.
The Old Main campus is open as normal from Tuesday for Fine Arts students and classes.
U-Skills programmes have been cancelled this week in Palmerston North and Whanganui due to transport difficulties; except for Construction, Business Enterprise and Hospitality in Palmerston North, and Construction in Levin. These classes will still run. Schools are in contact with USkills students.
The UCOL bus will be running as usual between campuses in Whanganui and Palmerston North.
UCOL students who need support or access to the hardship fund can contact Mary Pritchard on 06 952 7010 or 022 0678394, or Coral Hanna at the Whanganui campus. International students who need assistance can phone 021 242 7625 anytime.
UCOL will review the situation later today.
