The Rotary Monster Book Fair has returned to Wanganui - but you had better be in quick if you want a bargain.
The book sale opened at 9am yesterday and was immediately swamped by more than 100 book-lovers.
Sharon Duff, past president of the Rotary Club of Wanganui, said there were up to 7000 books for sale, as well as hundreds of CDs, records and children's games.
"We have a special section this year on New Zealand history - with the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli coming up we thought there would be a lot of interest in it," Mrs Duff said.
More than 50 volunteers worked over a two-week period to co-ordinate the sale of books, which have been donated by the public all year, with proceeds going to various Rotary Club projects such as Duffy Books in Schools.
The book fair is being held at 184 Victoria Ave (former Eides Sports Shop) and runs until tomorrow.
