Horizons is tweaking its Saturday bus timetable to give a better service for retirement village residents in one Wanganui suburb.
A minor timetabling change will make it easier for residents of the Jane Winstone Retirement Village and surrounding area to hop on a bus.
Next Saturday the regional council's combined Saturday service will travel the same route as the Springvale/St John's Hill route via Oakland Ave.
Wayne Wallace, council's senior transport planner, said it would be a permanent change but was not expected to affect times on the service.
He said the change has met a positive response from passengers.
"We want to ensure bus travel is accessible and affordable for the people of Wanganui and we had feedback from passengers that this minor change would make a huge difference in their ability to catch the bus," Mr Wallace said.
